New range of cheek color at MTA Studio.
Nothing to me is more warming and softening to a face than blush. I am a makeup artist who loves cheeks. A well placed “flush” in the skin adds youth, creates life, and gives a friendly glow. For mature skins, the right color worn high on the apples can take years off. For a fair skin, a bit of warmth on the cheeks can help someone look healthy. Color is also very softening to those that are more angular. I can admit it: I love cheek color!
We are so pleased to announce a new range of cheek colors to the studio for your winter-y flush. We have added a cream cheek and lip wheel in neutrals as well as 3 pressed powder colors to go with our highlight and shadow shade. The creams are great for a “lit from within” look, or for dryer or mature skin. The powders are great for an oilier skin. I personally use them together to build texture and depth. Cream on the bottom and a pop of powder on top.
The wheels are a particular favorite as they are colored cream makeup and can be used anywhere. They are easy to work with as well and can be applied with fingers, sponge, or a brush. For application I like to use at least 2 shades with a lighter on the top side of the cheekbones, and a darker on the underside of the cheekbones. This way you get a bit of highlight/contour with your color. Blending is key and keeping the color on the cheekbones. (If color gets too low it looks masculine and if it gets too high it looks feverish.) If in doubt, come in and let us show you!

Until next time,
